Was recently invited by a friend to play RO again, their server was okay but I preferred if there were less p2w mechanics and if the UI of the client was working well. Unfortunately it wasn't so I searched for a different client and found Payon Stories. The client runs smoothly and all UI interfaces are working properly afaik. if you're looking for a server that is not p2w, this is it.

Do not waist time here with the false reviews here. Players are not near as nice as those reviews. Server likes to waist your time. Event needs a hat to open a chest, hat de spawns after chest, spend more zeny on traveling to get a new hat, hat still de spawns, also got trash from event, not worth the travel fee. New class.. ninja can't play it cus they changed the quest and hid the npc. Players wont tell where. Economy sucks and so does the drop rates. Have fun picking up every item one by one.

Fun classic server with nice people and nice. I enjoy the changes they have made. There are parties fairly regularly and now p2w. If you are looking for a good classic RO server, give Payon Stories a try!

If you want longevity, this is the server for you. It's all that RO could have been, realized with lots of love and care for the classic experience. No bots, no RMT, truly rebalanced classes and items, seems almost too good to be true... The downside is that updates take a while, but going back to the key word -- longevity -- this is the server you come back to, time and time again, and it will always be thriving.

Playing for 6 month. From the very beginning I was really pleasantly surprised of lvl of server customisation. Nice new items, GREAT! skill rebalance, extremely exp. new dungeons. The admins attidude and efforts deserves special mention - fast, essential, helpful! No bots, no dual windows, no donations, no RMT! We are really expect for a 3rd job classes! ^_^ Thank you guys for a nice server!

If you like the classic way of plyaing RO, this server will be your favorite. Server completely balanced white quite care. Zero p2w. Staff present. What I like most is that the server is not looking for profitability, which means it won't close anytime soon due to lack of donations. Long live Payon Stories!!!

I've been playing Payon Stories since January 2023. Throughout this time the mod team has been patient and careful. They have made some tremendous changes to the classes that make them more fun and balanced. The custom content is available to low mid and high level players. The community is small but friendly and growing in number. Give us a shot if you're looking for low rate, well balanced, good community. Trans on roadmap for this year, ninja just introduced

played on the old oath server and now on payon stories. must be like 1,5 years now? can't say for sure it's too long, lol. i am a casual pve player and this server just hit the right spot for me! lately the economy took a lil hit because of lower player count but then they released assassin balance changes and the ninja class, which brought some fresh air and finally helped assassin to be on par with other classes. for me this server was always nice and stable. it will stay that way, i am sure!

I played RO and was addicted to it years ago. So now thanks to Payon Stories I got hooked once again to this wonderful game. Love how the community is very helpful to new players and at least in my personal experience there is always players willing to party and help each other level up.

I used to play ragnarok in early 2000 and was far away from ragnarok like about 15~17 years, it was the best years of my gamer life. Since then i was playing other games and tough my ragnarok life was nice, but it was over. Found this lovely server in December/23 and fell in love at first sight, since then i'm playing almost everyday with my friends. Server is great, no P2W, friendly players, super well balanced, economy balanced, etc... If u are looking for a OT low rate server, go for it!
